The park features breathtaking views of the Big Sur Coast, the beauty of the redwoods, the rugged coast and the cultural history of limekilns. The park has 33 campsites with a beautiful stream that runs through the middle of the park. Its the beach meets the redwoods.
There are tons of sites to see nearby. You can drive down to Hearst Castle or drive up to Big Sur and Carmel. It's an ideal location on Highway 1. Yet, it's suprisingly private and tucked away into the mountains. And you can walk right down to the beach and see waterfalls and striking blue green waters. Due to the lime in the water, the water is a beatuiful color. The beaches are divine and this is a great campsite for lounging and hiking.
